Starboard Paddleboards come in a variety of construction options to suit your various needs on the water. Learn about all the variants below:

ASAP (AS STRONG AS POSSIBLE)

  • Impact-resistant high-density EVA wrapping the whole rail from nose to tail.
  • Multiple layers of high-grade fiberglass are wetted out in epoxy resin wrapping the hull.
  • Australian pine on the standing area for extra impact resistance and rigidity.
  • Extra rigidity with the introduction of unidirectional stringer bands and solid with added rail and nose reinforcements.
  • ‘ASAP Windsurf’ variant on select boards allows them to be quickly to be adapted for windsurfing

Carbon Sandwich (RECOMMENDED BY WORLD CHAMPIONS)

  • This is the lightest and strongest race board construction we have ever offered and is now 500g lighter than the previous tech.
  • Super light-weight 100g biaxial Carbon is laminated over the standing area and full bottom, while a stronger 150g Biaxial carbon wraps the nose and rail for the lightest weight, best strength ratio and most efficient flex.
  • The mid-section of the board has stiffer UD Carbon side stringers to maintain the rocker in that critical area, thus optimizing glide
  • Thin high density PVC is used in the standing area and full bottom, reducing resin uptake and maximizing strength.
  • Infused paint pigment means no paint is sprayed reducing the overall weight, paint chips and scratches.

Lite Tech (LIGHT, STRONG, AFFORDABLE)

  • Extra rigidity with the introduction of unidirectional stringer bands and solid with added rail/ nose reinforcements.
  • Comes with rail tapes to protect the rails
  • Australian pine on the standing area for extra impact resistance and rigidity in the most critical area.
  • All inserts have added high-density foam reinforcements.

Rhino (AS TOUGH AS IT GETS)

  • Built to last, Rhino is the most durable and hardwearing technology designed for schools and clubs.
  • The entire board is wrapped in a thick, tough thermoplastic polymer ABS skin, offering an ultra strong impact resistance and durable shell.
  • The full rail is wrapped with a 0.7mm thick rail band to further protect the rails against impact.
  • Full EVA deck makes it forgiving and comfortable to move around.
  • A tow hole in the nose makes it easy to tow the boards and makes it easy to lock multiple boards together.

Starlite (THE STRONGEST RAIL EVER TESTED)

  • Ultra-durable, scratch and impact resistant woven 200g twill azure rail protection.
  • The combination of twin T-stringers deck and bottom to protect against total breakage. The T-stringers are positioned close to the rail working like an i-beam to endure heavy drops and strong wipeouts.
  • Starlite now features a full deck of 0.6mm Australian pine wood which is sandwiched between 2 glass outer skins, increasing the overall total breakage strength and reducing the weight due to lower resin absorption.

Starshot (ART YOU CAN RIDE)

  • Comes with two beautiful Tikhine design options, designed by Sonni Honscheid.
  • Shoulder carry strap makes it easy and lighter to carry, bungee tie downs nose and tail to transport gear.
  • Australian pine on the standing area for extra impact resistance and rigidity.
  • Multiple layers of high-graded fiber glass.
  • Comes with protective rail saver tape to minimize paddle scratches.
